Red Tractor Farm Assured Prime Beef, bred and reared as nature intended on our family farm. All our animals are traditionally grazed for intense flavour and our land is managed as part of an Environmental Stewardship Scheme. The beef is locally and expertly butchered, hanging for 21 days to mature and travelling less than 20 miles from farm to fork.
We sell 5kg selection boxes around three times a year, using the whole animal. Most of the beef is sold by pre order to a loyal group of local customers but we welcome anyone to join us at the farm on collection day to see what you might choose.

Traceable
Each round of beef sales come from one animal, bred by our bull and born on our farm. They graze with their mothers all summer before being weaned as a group over winter. Animals reach full physical maturity grazing naturally on the farm and travel only 7 miles to the butchers. All the beef is fully traceable allowing you to know exactly what you are eating.

Quality
Hereford beef is known for its superior taste and the animals’ grass based diet adds to this flavour. Animals grow slowly without any intensive inputs and antibiotic use is strictly limited to isolated welfare reasons only. The beef is “Prime”, which means the animal is just under 30 months old, the optimum age, giving a deliciously soft texture.

Family
These animals have been cared for by us since birth, and live their whole lives at Broomhill. Apart from the butchering of the animal, we do all the work ourselves, right through from calving the cow to packing the boxes, meaning you can cut out the middleman and support your local producers. This way you support rural business and get a product you can trust.
